Mary Frances has consistently supported West U's parks since 2007 when her family moved to into West University Place. She volunteers her time and donates philanthropic gifts. Most recently, she gave a major gift to the West U Parks at the 2026 Park Lovers Ball. Mary Frances and her family also donated a new oak tree to Colonial Park in the recent past.

Mary Frances is married to David DuMay. They have three sons: Clayton [U.S. Army stationed at Fort Benning], Conner [SMU sophomore, finance major, President's Honor Roll, Club Tennis], and Patrick [Junior, St. Francis Episcopal High School and Confirmation candidate]. Mary Frances is a 'Dog Mom' to Lucky Lady, a Labrador Retriever, and Penny Lou, an Australian Shepherd. Mary Frances enjoys playing mahjong with friends, gardening, painting, and traveling with her family. When the Houston weather cooperates, Mary Frances loves to play golf and tennis.

Before selling real estate, Mary Frances was a Sportscaster, Sports Director, and Anchor at an NBC-affiliate Texas TV station. She filmed, produced, and reported on local sports. Mary Frances was previously employed by Fox Sports Net and worked a second job as a stage manager for the Houston Astros MLB, Houston Rockets NBA, and Houston Aeros minor league hockey games from 1997 to 1999. Mary Frances was previously employed in Boston, Massachusetts, and Atlanta, Georgia.
